We’ve all been there, right? Whether it’d be sickness, a busy time at work or like me, being alone with 2 toddlers all week and being snowed in at the same time.
This week Bruce got 4 walks total. Yep, just 4 walks all week. Of, course he was out in the garden for pees and poos several times per day, but no more than 4 lead walks happened.
Did I feel guilty?
Yes, I always do even though I know it’s totally fine to have periods of no walks.
Was he climbing on the walls?
No, he was totally calm and relaxed as usual, which is a product of our flexibility training that we practise every day.
How to create flexibility in your dog?
I promise you will have days with no walks at some point and the difference lies in training this every week. I love rest days and incorporating regular days without walks will make it SO much easier when your dog actually needs to stay home for longer periods. It creates flexibility and you will love how easily your dog can relax even if he’s not had any walks that day.
And, of course… don’t feel guilty! Your dog is fine. Give yourself a break and let your dog enjoy his sofa day.
